This website came about through one woman’s journey. From an early age she was abused and has lived a life entangled with men who have in one way or another misused her and let her down.

She reached her lowest point when she was brutally raped while working as a delivery driver during Covid lockdown. She was sent to the customer's home address instead of his business address because of Covid restrictions. As if that wasn’t bad enough, her manager, who took her home after this horrific experience, molested her during the drive home. The company she worked for had put no safeguards in place; no risk assessments and during the many months of work she had to miss, because of the illness she suffered as a consequence of this day, they only paid her statutory sick pay. This day led to her having a breakdown, which it has taken some time to begin recovering from. She still has many things which trigger her anxieties and fears. She has found these songs to be the best therapy she has had, because it has helped her to get her story out there.

The songs on the album below tell her story and how she is growing and finding her way to a life free to be herself. She is not there completely yet, but her story is an inspiration to all those who have had similar experiences and give hope that it is possible to find yourself coming into the light from the darkness of the past. These songs are created from real life experience. They are about the various issues which many women, of all ages, struggle with in their day to day lives. The purpose of the songs is to provide meanings, explanations, hope. In those times when we feel at our lowest, we often feel alone. These songs will help you understand that you are not alone.
